Dublin has been a stronghold for the Irish hospitality sector for the last number of years, even through most of the economic downturn. As it moves from strength to strength it has become increasingly difficult to find experienced and skilled staff. An added difficulty is the fact that during the recession wages were drastically cut by most employers in this sector, some more than others, and are only now starting to re-adjusted to a fair market rate. That said, the hospitality sector remains an attractive option for many and an ambitious individual can really fast track their career if the find the right opportunity with the right employer.
